cornIn today’s seed market, claims and counterclaims abound.  The fact is no hybrid is right for everyone everywhere.  We have chosen to focus our efforts on the traits and genetics that work in southeastern and central Indiana and northern Kentucky.  We at Glick Seed Service have chosen the hybrids that are working here on our farms.  We stress not only yield and standability but also the health requirements of the greater Ohio Valley area.

Every year is different.  This past summer of 2012 had its ups and downs.  Early planting weather was great followed by wet conditions in May and especially June when we received over 11 inches of rain.  Hot days and nights that followed in late summer with little precipitation brought us a rapid, early harvest.  Seed quantities should be adequate and quality is good with strong germinations, especially for soybean seed.

We thank our friends and neighbors who have allowed us to be your independent seed supplier for 5 generations.  We look forward to serving you in 2013 and beyond.
